Making Educational Innovations Accessible Online

EDC's EdTech Leaders Online team collaborated with the Regional Educational Laboratory at EDC to create the Northeast & Islands Online Professional Development Center, which currently features three self-paced workshops. Created for adult learners, the workshops are based on REL workshop toolkits on data use and program evaluation that were published by the Institute of Education Sciences in the 2012–2017 contract round.

In each workshop, a range of interactive online self assessments help participants check their understanding on key concepts and at one point choose their learning path based on areas they feel they need the most work in. These certificate-bearing workshops have generated more than 700 registrants, disseminating otherwise inert PDF content to users across the country in far more engaging ways
